Hari Kedatangan Laksamana Cheng Hoo (Kong Sam Poo Tay Djien) yang ke-605 Tahun,
di halaman Klenteng Tay Kak Sie Gang Lombok Semarang, Sabtu (7/8) malam,
ditandai dengan penyalaan lilin setinggi 605 Cm oleh Gubernur Jawa Tengah, H. Bibit Waluyo dan disaksikan
oleh Walikota Semarang beserta Anggota Forum Koordinasi Pimpinan Daerah (FKPD)
Kota Semarang, para Kepala SKPD Provinsi Jawa Tengah, Pembina dan Umat Klenteng
Tay Kak Sie Gang Lombok Semarang.
”Ini
melambangkan, api yang sudah menyala tidak akan padam lagi, dengan harapan memacu
jiwa dan semangat untuk lebih giat dalam memperdalam peribadatan umat Buddha
khususnya di Klenteng Tay Kak Sie,” ungkap Gubernur.
Menurut
Gubernur Bibit Waluyo, kegiatan tersebut sudah sejalan dengan Misi ke-3 (tiga)
gerakan Bali Ndeso Mbangun Deso, yaitu, memantapkan kondisi sosial budaya yang
berbasiskan kearifan lokal. ”Karena dengan jiwa yang dilandasi kemauan yang
kuat terhadap Sang Pencipta, kita dapat mewujudkan kondisi sosial yang mantap.
Selain itu, peringatan ini juga merupakan wujud konkret kita melestarikan
warisan budaya yang sangat potensial untuk mendukung pengembangan pariwisata di
Kota Semarang khususnya dan Jawa Tengah pada umumnya,” jelasnya.
Selain
itu Gubernur mengatakan, kegiatan perayaan bertepatan dengan kegiatan dalam
rangka memperingati HUT Ke-65 Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia dan Hari Jadi ke-60
Provinsi Jawa Tengah. ”Untuk itu, saya minta kegiatan ini dapat dimaknai
sebagai penjabaran rasa nasionalisme kita yang tinggi, walaupun di
tengah-tengah kehidupan masyarakat yang pluralisme di Indonesia,” tandas Bibit
seraya menambahkan bahwa warna etnis tetap ada, tetapi saling mengisi dan
mengakui satu sama lain. Kebudayaan manapun, asalkan baik dan bermanfaat, dapat
menjadi perekat persatuan dan kesatuan. Kita harus saling membuka diri, membuka
ruang untuk kemajuan bersama dengan toleransi dan kerukunan.
Gubernur
menandaskan, toleransi adalah faktor terpenting dalam membangun kebersamaan di
antara perbedaan yang ada. Dia berharap perayaan ini agar dijadikan sebagai tonggak untuk nyengkuyung
gerakan ”Bali Ndeso Mbangun Deso”, untuk mencapai Visi ”Terwujudnya masyarakat
Jawa Tengah yang semakin sejahtera”. Khusus kepada keluarga besar Tionghoa, gubernur
minta untuk bersama-sama menata kawasan Klenteng Sam Poo Khong di Gedung Batu
sebagai paket wisata menarik dikaitkan dengan Klenteng Tay Kak Sie lain.
”Saya
minta Pemerintah Kota Semarang ikut cawe-cawe menata Kawasan Wisata Kota Semarang
dengan mengaturnya dalam paket wisata yang menarik,” tandasnya. Termasuk kawasan
Kota Lama juga perlu ditata dan harus diupayakan bebas dari rob atau banjir.
Demikian pula kali Semarang di sekitar Pecinan, usahakan bisa bersih, kinclong
dan tidak bau, sehingga bisa menjadi Wisata Air.

THE 605 CM TALL CANDLE
LIGHTING BECAME A MOMENTUM TO CELEBRATE THE MISSION OF ADMIRAL CHENG HOO.
Semarang
– The 605 years celebration
of Admiral Cheng Hoo’s mission (Kong Sam Poo Tay Djien), in the
yard of the temple of Tay Kak Sie in Gang Lombok, Semarang, on Saturday night
(7/8) it was signed with 605 cm
tall candle lighting by the Governor of Central Java, H. Bibit Waluyo. It was attended by the Major of Semarang, the member of
coordination forum of Central Java Regional Leaders (FKPD),
The Unity Leaders of Central Java Area (SKPD), and a Priest and Budhist of Tay Kak Sie temple at Gang
Lombok Semarang.
”This
symbolizes, the fire has been flamed-up and no extinguished longer, which expectation
to stimulate soul and spirit to be more active in the praying of the Budhist,
especially in the temple of Tay Kak Sie,” said the Governor.
According
to the Governor Bibit Waluyo, this event is in accordance with the third
mission of the programme ”Back to village
to develop the village” that is established
the condition of social culture based on the local wisdom,” Because of the
strong willingness to the God, we can create a stable social condition. In
other hand, this celebration is the concret implementation to conserve the
culture heritage which potentially supports the developement of tourism
industry especially in Semarang and gennerally in Central Java,” explained the
Governor.
The
Governor said, the Cheng Hoo’s celebration coincided with the celebration of the 65 Indonesian freedom and the 60
anniversary of Central Java Province. ”I hope this event will strengten our
natioanlism, eventhough we live in Indonesia with pluralism” said the Governor.
He added
the difference of the colour etnis is still exsist, but we have to be honor
each other. In whatever culture, if it is good it can strengten our unity. We
have to be open minded to the development of our country with the tolerance and peaceful.
The
governor asserted, the tolerance is the most important factor in establishing
the togetherness in the differences. The Governor expected this celebration
would become the point to be gather in successing the program ”Back to Village
Develope the Village” and to achieve the vision ”The realization of a better
welfare to Central Java people”. To the Budhist big family especially, the
Governor asked to be together in organizing the Sam Poo Khong temple in
Gedung Batu, as an interesting tourism packet with Tay Kak Sie lain.
”I
recommend The Goverment of Semarang has to involve in organizing Semarang to be a
packet of interesting tourism area,” The
Governor asked absolutely. Including to the old city area needs to be organized
and must be free from the the flood, also the Semarang river around the China
town, should be clean and has a good smell, so it can be the water tourism. *(PR_Division)
